Awareness Day 2009

The focus of Awareness Day 2009 was "Sharing Our Own Awareness-What Do You Know?". Governor Jim Douglas proclaimed April 2009 as Parkinson's Awareness month and speakers Robert W. Hamill, MD, Vivian Branschofsky, Charles Barasch, Mary Ormrod, Elaine Bodurtha, Esq., Marcy Ryan, Maureen Nevers, Sharon Alderman, Bruce Talbot and Susan Werntgen were presenters at the event. The annual Awareness Day conference gives members of the Vermont Parkinson Community the opportunity to learn how to best manage the disease, learn about available resources and the latest research, as well as to socialize with other APDA Vermont members.
