- Awareness Day 2011: Moving Forward, Thinking Ahead: Was held on Saturday, April 9th, 2011 at Lake Morey Resort, Fairlee, VT. Program included: Update on PD Research and Treatments; Speaking from the Heart: Managing Difficult Conversations; Dancing with PD, Where do We go From Here: When All You Can Do Isn't Enough; as well as a Caregiver Session. The event was well attended.
- 17th Annual Parkinson's Unity Walk: The Vermont Movers and Shakers took NYC by storm! We had a great time and raised over $4700.00 in honor of Bruce Talbot for Parkinson's research! Donations are still being accepted so please visit the Unity Walk website: www.unitywalk.org to donate to The Vermont Movers and Shakers! Every dollar goes directly to research and every dollar counts.
- 2nd Annual Vermont APDA Parkinson's 5K Power Run and Walk-A-Thon : This year's event was a huge success. The rain cleared and the sun came out to allow for a beautiful day to walk and raise money for research. To date the event has grossed over $19000.00!! It is not too late to contribute.
