Vermont APDA Parkinson's 5K Power Run and Walk-A-Thon 2010: This event was held on May 22, 2010 in Stowe Vermont on the Recreation Path and was a HUGE success! We raised almost $10,000 for Parkinson's research! Thanks to all for their generosity and participation. Looking forward to doing it again next year. A very special thanks goes to The Green Mountain Inn for their incredibly generous sponsorship. We couldn't have done it without them! It is not to late to Click here to donate. People living with PD, their caregivers and family members are encouraged to participate by joining 2007 Long Trail End-to-Ender, Jocelyn Hebert, and hiking a short distance with her along the trail as she treks the length of it. The Long Trail runs the length of Vermont, from Massachusetts to the Canadian border and follows the spine of the Green Mountains. This journey has three goals: 1) to increase awareness for Parkinson's. 2) to raise funds to help support people and families affected by Parkinson's. 3) to encourage the community to walk together and have fun.
