Fundraisers

In order to support our programs and actives and to help with research at the national level, the Chapter relies on volunteers to organize several fundraising efforts throughout the year. These include:

The Rock-a-Thon is the American Parkinson's Disease Association of Vermont's largest yearly fundraiser.  For the first time, this event is being held in Burlington on the grounds of the Unitarian Universalist Church at the top of the Church Street Marketplace.

Rock-a-thon 2008 will take place on Saturday June 7th from 11:00 AM-2:00PM

In addition to raising funds for local programs and services, the Rock-a-Thon is our way of celebrating that a cure is at hand.  At the event, people with PD, their families and friends will take a seat and rock in the 100 rocking chairs arranged on the grounds of the church.  There will be food, musical entertainment, a silent auction, 50-50 raffle and activities for children. Please join us for what is always a memorable event! Click here for the 2008 brochure See how your team is doing in the 2008 On-Line Team Challenge!   Photos.
