The Vermont Chapter of the APDA is dedicated to empowering Vermont Parkinsonians and their care partners, so that they may live well with Parkinson's Disease.

Since 1998, the Vermont Chapter APDA has made practical advice available to the Parkinson's Community on a wide variety of issues and provides educational opportunities and resources to "ease the burden" of this chronic illness. In cooperation with the Information and Referral Center, the focus of the Chapter is to communicate key information and to provide network support to the patient, care partner and health provider while supporting efforts to "find a cure" for Parkinson Disease.

The American Parkinson Disease Association, Inc. was founded in 1961 to "ease the burden and find a cure" for Parkinson's disease. Headquartered in New York, the organization focuses its energies on research, patient support, education and raising public awareness of the disease.

APDA Vermont also works closely with the APDA New Hampshire Chapter at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.
